The Week of Mirror Selfies!

Hello all you lovely people! I know it is amazing two blogs within DAYS of each other, I promise I'm not dying. Just distracting myself from horrific dissertation writing. If you follow my fashion Instagram ( @dreamingoffifthavenue ) you will have had the blessing of viewing these pictures already so you can stop reading now. I have been trying to up my style game within the last week, for a while I was getting super comfortable with my style and not pushing myself to wear new or different things (there is only so many times that you can wear a Yeezus top and Topshop Jeans). Also, since October I have been on a bit of a weight loss journey and getting closer to my target weight has giving me an extra boost of confidence to wear more fashion-forward outfits. *big round of applause* I was on a buying ban...yes! a buying ban since the 28th of December so I splurged a little at the end of January...which in a way makes the ban completely pointless. I may have a slight addiction. But if that addiction means I'm looking fierce AF, who gives!

Outfit One -

I love this outfit! Took a little style inspo from my pal over at www.vogueandcake.com who suggested layering a big fluffy jumper over this ankle length Zara dress that cost £9! BIBLE! The jumper is H&M Trend (surprise, surprise) and I'm sure the belt is from H&M too! I felt super on trend with this and got so many compliments too! I just felt as though it really showcased my figure in the best way.

Outfit Two -

This coat is genuine LIFE! I got it from the Topshop boxing day sale for £35! You can't really see it great in this picture but I have a Weekday long black shirt on with some ripped Topshop Jamie jeans and my Stan Smiths (easily the best shoes I have ever ever bought!).

Outfit Three -

Sorry for the lack of face...it was a hard day and I may be cheating because this isn't a 'mirror selfie' but I AM LIVING FOR THIS BOMBER JACKET!!! Which is from H&M Trend obvs. A basic black polo neck cause why the hell would you want to take away from all the sequins!! Topshop Jamie Jeans and my fav Stan Smith's.

Outfit Four -

Again with the Jaime Jeans....sorry guys but they are so god damn comfy! I feel like this outfit also showed off my figure really well and made a 7 o'clock start in work that little bit easier as I was feeling fierce AF! I love this little Mango shirt that I bought when I was in Madrid last year, its super light weight meaning that it works well for layering too! These boots make me feel super sassy like more than the emoji chick! They are comfy but also high enough to wear on a night out (which I have done often, which equals no crying feet).

Outfit Five -

You guys will NEVER EVER guess where this outfit is from...I'll give you three chances 1) H&M Trend 2) H&M Trend and 3) H&M Trend! I'm not even sorry, I don't know why but I felt like some sort of Hunger Games extra with this on, maybe because of the lack of black? The only criticism I have about the trousers is the waistband, I wish it wasn's elastic. I guess I could cover it with a belt but I don't know for comfortable that will feel. And again with the Stan Smiths, I am soo original.

Outfit Six -

I am so gutted I didn't get a better picture of this outfit, but unfortunately,  White Russians are way more important that outfit selfies. Although I must congratulate Bloc (a bar on Bath Street in Glasgow) on their awesome outfit selfie mirror! This H&M Trend fringe suede jacket is an utter dream, it makes any outfit look super on trend. Underneath I have a V-neck grey t-shirt with my black Joni Topshop jeans and I bought one of those skinny black scarfs which I feel completely upgrades this outfit and you will defiantly be seeing this again.

I hope you guys all enjoyed this post! I really enjoyed writing it and taking multiple pictures of myself.

Lots of Love

Award Season Fashion with BlackTux.com

Hey guys...mega long time no see!! Finally back to chat away to yous once a week about all things fashion! Won't give yous the usual..." oh I have been so busy with work and uni" you know the drill!

Anyway! I'm here today with The Black Tux to tell you guys all about their new tuxedo collection, and as awards season is right around the corner I thought it was only fitting to share with you my nominees from The Black Tux suit rental collection and how I would dress strutting down the red carpet with my celeb bou (Tom Hardy...please please pleeease).

I don't know about you guys but I love award season fashion and to be perfectly honest it is usually only the ladies fashion that I was interested in, until recently where the beautiful men of the red carpet have been seriously upping their fashion game!

Look One

This tux screams old Hollywood glam! I love the contrasting lapels and pocket, giving it a super sleek feel.

And to match my celeb date I would wear this outfit:-

Skirt - ASOS
Bralet - Topshop
Necklace and Ear Cuff - H&M
Shoes - Kurt Geiger

This look it super perfect to match the Old Hollywood glam of the tux, with the slick, soft curled hair, bright red lip and soft but smoke eye. Also by adding a big statement necklace and modernising with an ear cuff brings the outfit to a whole new level!

Look Two

I absolutely LOVE grey suits, I think they are so stylish and bring a trendy and cool vibe to the red carpet!

And to match my celebs outfit I would wear this:-

Dress - Rare London
Shoes - Kurt Geiger
Watch - Kate Spade

I feel like the blush pink colour complements the grey suit really well and with the dress being made out of suede also gives a mixture of textures to the outfit. For hair, as the dress is such a statement keeping the hair bouncy and shiny complements it perfectly and for makeup I would keep it nude, with defined eyes and a glossy nude lip...maybe even a tiny bit of glitter just in the corner of the eye, I mean I am on the red carpet after all!!

Look Three

I think this 100% has to be my favourite look! I love navy on black at the moment I think it works so well in a totally high fashion, contemporary way!

And to match my celebs outfit I would wear this :-

Dress - Zara
Bag - Zara
Earrings - Vivenne Westwood
Shoes - Kurt Gieger

Again because the dress is leather you are getting the look of contrasting materials and with the heavy embellishment at the top of the dress having your hair sleeked right back works perfectly and all topped off with just the right amount of sparkle from these gorgeous Vivienne Westwood earrings! For makeup again it is pretty classic, beautiful red lip and really deep, dark smokey eyes to contrast the pushed back hair. Also, as the dress is super short, a tan (spray or real) is advised to give that ultra-Hollywood glam feel!

If any of you are interested in renting a tux from The Black Tux collection then head on over to their website theblacktux.com, where you will find a huge seIection of tuxes, suits and all the accessories you will need for a super glamorous night. I have really enjoyed pulling the outfits together and if only I was really being whisked away to the red carpet by Tom Hardy...a girl can dream!

Love yahs guys,

Danielle xxx

My Parisian Style Diary

Hey guys, finally got a chance to grab my boyfriends computer for a couple of hours to get a few post done about my amazing trips over this summer. As you guys already know I was super fortunate enough to have spent 3 whole weeks in Madrid. But I also spent 4 days in Paris, France with my amazing boyfriend at the end of July!

Just thought I'd share some of my looks with you guys...

...I might just actually be an outfit repeater!! But its okay, its holiday clothes, worn in a different country...please tell me its okay!
But i really do adore this outfit from Berska!

Eeep! My favey Zara silk  Moroccan style dress, looked amazing on the Eiffel Tower at night!

This dress is actually one of my purchases in Manchester from Topshop, as it has an almost two piece design it definitely flatters my body shape atm! (Which I will do a haul of ALL of the amazing things I bought that weekend)

I am so gutted I didn't get a full length shot of this outfit because I LOVED IT! It was my little H&M striped crop top paired with a white midi skirt and nude heels...I will defs be wearing this again!

Lots of Love,

Here's the little necklace from H&M it sits really nicely with most outfits and I like how it has both gold and silver and looks well together and can be worn separately.

Summer Outfit Ideas

Hey guys sorry I haven't been on the blogging scene lately, I seem to drop in and out every so often because of work and the like. But I have been itching to write a blog about the pieces I'm going to feature today for a while. They have been on my "Summer Wish List' (mostly screen shots on my iPhone).

Heres a simple but chic way to work bold prints during the summer months whether you are travelling abroad or enjoying the wonderful British summer time!

Firstly, this beaut white crop top by Pull&Bear, a brand I found on ASOS recently.

I really like the structured look to the crop top and the little triangle cut out makes it stand out and gives you the opportunity to show of more of your gorgeous tan!

This absolutely fabulous bold print full of delicious-ness skirt is from H&M, their Trend collection is TO DIE FOR this summer! With so many interestingly unique pieces that you wouldn't really find anywhere else on the high street at such a reasonable price.

There is also a crop top with the same print for all you co-ord crazy folk out there! I just think it is a gorgeous classic style skirt that would flatter most body shapes.

Now for my favourite bit...Accessories!

I do love experimenting with accessories with outfits because I feel thats what totally defines it.

This LuLu Guinness is just FAN-tasitic (you'll get that pun in a sec). I think with the red print skirt it almost gives off a Spanish dancer vibe and when I saw this clutch it was a must have for this particular summer outfit idea.

Ahhh! Don't you just LOOOOVE IT!

Finally a little pair of black strappys from Zara, with such a thin ankle strap it won't cut off your legs and make you look short, it will actually extend your legs as straps almost "wrap around" the foot instead of cutting it off.

These little add ons will just give it that vava vooom you need for maybe a night time affair

MAC Lipstick, I mean I am no make up expert but you really really can't go wrong with Russian Red MAC lipstick!

Pull your hair up in a high messy bun and put on a pair of these honeys!

...

If only eh! A pair of Dior sunglasses!

There will be many more of these blogs to come guys! Since I am preparing to head to Madrid for 3 weeks during summer to study of course outfit choices will be my main priority! So there would be a few little post purchase blogs, and if any of yous have been to Madrid let me know of super fashionable places I can visit!

Im gonna show you guys a few key pieces to me the total painted lady!

This trend has been seen all over the Catwalk from Celine to Chanel.

With this gorgeous Chanel pantone palette quilted bag, a unique twist on a classic piece.

Also this outfit from Celine Ready to Wear collection, totally thinking outside the "paint" box!

AND!!

As I was researching for this blog I came across this amaaaazing amazing buy!

A complete doppelgänger of the Celine skirt in PRIMARK FOR £8!!

There are two key places I have seen doing this trend very very well and thats ASOS (of course) and Zara, the leaders in fashion trends.

Zara has this amazing skirt that's not only incorporating the paint box trend but  also the asymmetric laser cut trend. All for only £39.99

There are so many items from ASOS I could have chosen, tried to stick to my favs. House of Holland nails! In Tie Dye!!!

And this trend doesn't just include paint look clothes also bright colour blocking and painting prints!

Like this Peter Jensen Julie Sweatshirt With Diana Ross Print!
BEAUT!

Hope you guys enjoy!

Valentine's Day Outfit Ideas

This is just a little piece about the outfit I'm thinking about for valentines day celebrations next week, something not too OTT. Casual and very on trend!

I AM OBSESSED (sounding like Kelly Osborn on Fashion Police) with the ripped jean craze atm, needing these beauties in my wardrobe. There from ASOS and only £32! Suchh a steal!? - Link Here!

I need this...mine mine mine mine mine! Sooo high fashion mirroring the likes of the printed sweats from Givenchy etc. Love the fashion sketch print just adds extra chic!
Très Magnifique!
£19.99 - Zara - Link Here!

I'm dying for a pair of shoes in this style! And after weeks of looking for a pair in black I found these in Office for £65, which is a little pricey but i think you would get a lot of wear out of these! - Link Here!

This one is more a pipeline dream then an actual product that I'd be able to buy for Vday (unless I won the lottery) I do looooove this Micheal Kors bag, the stand out colour is perfect to jazzy up a plain outfit! And its all yours for only £310! - Link Here!

And finally some bling! This chunky chain bracelet comes in at about £50 but sooooo worth it, would match everything! Already thought about 5 different outfits I could wear it with! - Link Here!

Hope you enjoy this look!

A/W Trend Diary

Here's a quick essential guide to keeping on track with the A/W 2013 trends.

Tartan!
This is something you MUST invest in this season to stay bang on trend, this look was seen all over the catwalk from the likes of Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Mulberry..

Mulberry

Christian Dior

Versace

And if like me you cant afford these exact looks well here is a few alternatives to keep you right on trend without breaking the bank.

I LOVE these little tartan ankle strap heel with the perspex sides from BooHoo.com, keeping with the tartan trend but also with the strappy heel makes these shoes so versatile, you are able to wear then with skinny ripped jeans or a tight black midi...almost too many excuses to wear them! For £20 can you really say no?

These are perfectly paired with a crisp white crop shirt, or an oversize woolly knit or a cute pair of chelsea boots. From Topshop for only £25.

Punk!
Now who doesn't love a bit of punk, bring out your inner bad gal. This look was seen on designers from the likes of Chanel, Saint Laurent...

Chanel

Versace

Heres some more cost effective looks to keep you going all winter long!

Black and white printed T from Topshop by Maarten Van Der Horst, pair this with super skinny jeans and some metallic footwear!

Loving this waisted spike belt from ASOS, perfect with a girly skater style dress to punk it up!

Could you get more punk that these Dr Marten shoes! Which would pretty much match everything, well i'd find any excuse to wear them!

Suit Up!
Looking at classic structure skirts, paired with oversize jumpers and matching print suit set! Which can definitely go from office to nightwear effortlessly. This look from designers such as Victoria Beckham, Erdem, DKNY, Burberry Prorsum..

Burberry Prorsum

Louis Vuitton

DKNY

Key pieces to stay on trend from the high street.

This sweet little piece from Zara just screams this look, match it with a structured skirt, tights and boot for a cute and bang on trend look.

This leather look pencil skirt from ASOS is perfect for this look and so versatile for everything, another one of those pieces that would go with mostly everything for day and night, office and party!

This beautiful matching set from Topshop just gets my fashion senses tingling! Both easily wearable pieces by themselves but together they are like some sort of power couple! If you are looking for head turning reactions in the office then go for this, paired with loafers or even strappy 'barely there' sandals to easily flow from day till night. We might as well party those cold winter nights away!

Oversize Outerwear

This could be easiest trend ever! Who cares what your wearing underneath as long as your coat is oversize and fabulous! This look was dominating the catwalk with the likes of DKNY, Chanel, Valentino all showing this look

Valentino

Chanel

DKNY

And again, heres some high street goodies that will keep you right on trend!

I love this over size coatigin from ASOS the colour matches so many different pieces and would look flawless with most styles! A coatigin is definitely on my wish list this winter!

I'm most definitely loving the colour of this oversize masculine studio coat from Zara

This blazer from River Island just screams this trend, with the check running through it brings in the tartan trend too! Also this is a super easy piece to dress up and down too which is great!
