My First Ever Styling!

Thought i'd keep it in the family for my first 'proper' styling that I was actually able to document and get to tell all you lovely people about!

I styled an outfit for my younger sister Kelly for her friends birthday party on Friday night. As she didn't have time for tan etc the most important part was tights (as I do live in Scotland and its bloody freezing already) apart from that I had free choice!

So here is want Kel wore -

Sorry for the bad quality of photos but it was pretty rushed since she did have a party to go to! But all these pieces are gorgeous separately and super versatile.

Top - Topshop
Skirt - H&M
Bag - New Look
Necklace - H&M
Shoes - Primark

Also apart from looking gorgeous in these pictures she is also sunning it up in Tenerife right now! SUPER JEL!

Thanks to my lovely sister for letting me style her and trusting me to find her an outfit, will definitely be borrowing this one..thats what sisters are for after all!

I'm super excited about the trends with A/W!

Heres a few of my fav trends with some high street items that are just too trendtastic for words!

Starting with:

JEEEEWELS! As seen at Celine, Dolce and Gabbana and Erdem. But sadly all those beautys have a designer price tag unlike these...

 H&M
Pair with grey jeggings and light blue heels for a glamorous touch.

Topshop

Match this delicate swing vest with a tight midi skirt and gold heels and simple clutch.

ASOS

This dress has been on my wish list for faaar too long now! Its by Needle & Thread but sold on ASOS. Sadly with its £150 price tag its out off my reach (even with my student loan)

Autumn Must Haves!

Here's a few of the definte must-haves during Autumn (which is my favourite time of year)
I can not wait till it gets that little bit colder for my big wooly jumpers, fur coat, toasty hot toffee nut lattees on the way to uni in the mornings! Also I personally believe that I reeaally suit most types of hats and this is amazing hat wearing weather. Fact. You will see a hell of a lot of selfies on the new Style Addict Instagraaaamm! (@__styleaddict)

1) Boots!
I have black heeled boots from River Island that I bought last year and they are perfect, they match with mostly everything, are short enough that you can match your ankle socks with your outfit but long enough that they dont look silly with ankle grazer jeans, trousers etc. So yes invest in a pair of ankle boots!

2) A burdangy lip stick

..what a beautriful colour for this time of year, it works well with the navy and mustard colours that just screaam autumn! I suggest :

MAC Matt Lipstick in shade Yield to Love.

 3) An addictive tv series

In other words invest in Netflixs for all those cold winter nights all youll want to do it lie in bed, put on a face mask and chill out watching a crazy adictive series. I recommend Suits, me and my boyfriend are obsessed with this atm.

4) A good hair treatment

My hair always seems to go mega mega dry during the colder months, but when I was in the hair dressers I was given the recomendation of pure coconut oil but its in a serum from Savers! Super affordable and cheap will definetly be stalking up on that over the coming months, you just run it through your hair either damp or dry for a smooth finish. But Salon Services is a great place to pick up hair masks too.

5)  My All Time Favourite...Sationary!!

I went a little mad in Paperchase today buying note books and the like for going back to uni next week!

I mean how CUUUTE are those little panda highlighters?!

What are your autum must haves?

lots of love

20 things I've learnt before turning 20

Since I am turning the big 20 next month I thought I'd write a little blog on just some of the things I've learnt since my 20 years!

1) TRAVEL!! I knew as soon as I thought about the idea of writing this blog piece that this would be number one! I've been lucky enough to have visited Spain, Portugal, London, Ireland, Paris and Madrid already! And really as clique as it sounds travelling (especially alone) gives you an amazing sense of accomplishment and responsibility. Even the bad experiences like showing up in Madrid airport with no address or internet to find out where we where supposed to be staying or getting lost in the street of Madrid, will always give you that life experience that you didn't have before. Seriously you wouldn't regret the memories you'd make.

2) Have fun with fashion! Whether it's the Barry M glitter eye shadow stage or the bell skirt and berrie to school, I might have not looked all that amazing but felt it!

3) Make time for you, stop trying to please everyone else because tbh it's not your job to make sure everyone's happy just you worry about you!

4) Mums do usually know best, even when you are 15 and begging her for money to buy the neon pink tutu fro Hellfire to wear to the Cathouse under's on a Saturday night...in hignsight she was 100% to say no!

5) Crying is okay! Sometimes it really does help! Go pour yourself a glass of wine, draw a bubble bath and put on a soppy movie on netflixs it will make you feel 1 million times better!

6) Daily planners (diaries) are great things! I'd be lost without mine, seriously a god send.

7) Being in a serious relationship at a 'young' age isn't a bad thing! There seems to be some sort of taboo on young relationships and commitment, just count yourself lucky that you have found the right guy sooner rather than later!

8) I am going to hate this but..save money! Having a little money behind you does open so many doors and knowing that SAAS (student loans) is not a personal clothing allowance for your first year at uni should stand you on good sted!

9) Don't work too hard (that's easy for me to say) yeh having a part time job + uni is great it makes those night outs even sweeter when you don't feel like vomiting every time you drunkenly offer to pay for a round. But having days where you can just get on a train and go anywhere or lay in bed all day and watch say yes to the dress is great too!

10) Take as many pictures as you possibly can! And print them out, buy some cute frames and hang them everywhere! There is something amazing about being able to hold on to your memories and not just stare at them through a screen.

11) It's only hair! Whether it's blonde or brown, short or long it will grow back! Have fun with it..all I'll say is that thank god I didn't have pintrest of it could have been a lot crazier!

12) Fuel smoothies are sent by angels for us to enjoy in giant polistirine cups. Drink them all the frickin time.

13) Invest in a good make up collection. I mean it's a win win for everybody...except the bank! Over that last few years learning how to do a good smokey eye and shape my brows properly is super important, I mean it's stuff I can totally pass onto my kids yeno!

14) Losing friends sucks but the best will always come back. People grow apart and that's normal but you know when you make a friendship that totally last the test of time that they are there for you no matter what. Also growing up and experiencing new things gives you the chance to make amazing new friends that totally mean the world to you and you will cherish that.

15) Love your body (I'm still struggling with that one) it's what you've got but learn how to dress it! Knowing your shape and what suits you will help you thought your entire life!

16)After a night out drink a pint of freezing water and eat a banana before bed...it takes the edge off the hangover, just a little.

17) Wear black, it always looks chic and flatters every shape and size.

18) Never keep problems or worries to yourself ALWAYS tell someone! No matter how scary or bad you think it is it's always 100% better when you just tell someone, then think if you look back on it in a weeks time it's usually never as bad as it first seems.

19) Ask questions, you'll never know what you could find out.

20) Always smile.

My Parisian Style Diary

Hey guys, finally got a chance to grab my boyfriends computer for a couple of hours to get a few post done about my amazing trips over this summer. As you guys already know I was super fortunate enough to have spent 3 whole weeks in Madrid. But I also spent 4 days in Paris, France with my amazing boyfriend at the end of July!

Just thought I'd share some of my looks with you guys...

...I might just actually be an outfit repeater!! But its okay, its holiday clothes, worn in a different country...please tell me its okay!
But i really do adore this outfit from Berska!

Eeep! My favey Zara silk  Moroccan style dress, looked amazing on the Eiffel Tower at night!

This dress is actually one of my purchases in Manchester from Topshop, as it has an almost two piece design it definitely flatters my body shape atm! (Which I will do a haul of ALL of the amazing things I bought that weekend)

I am so gutted I didn't get a full length shot of this outfit because I LOVED IT! It was my little H&M striped crop top paired with a white midi skirt and nude heels...I will defs be wearing this again!

Lots of Love,

GAY PRIDE!

Oh my frickin god..I have never experienced anything so amazing in my whole life as the Gay Pride Padard in Madird! It was huuuuge and uber fabulous...think Rocky Horror Show meets Eurovison!

Just thought it show you some of the photos I captures on Saturday of the parade.

Note to self - next time, bring alcohol!! Could you imagine how much MORE fun it could have been (also there doesn't seem to be any laws in drinking on the street in Spain)

The place was just covered in rainbow flags..amazing!

The fashion was some what interesting...yet totally fabulous at the same time!

I do extremely recommend that if you are in Madrid at the time the parade is held you should 100% go! It's such a beautiful thing to be a part of.

Also a quick outfit plan! -

Topshop Cami Vest

Madrid Part Dos

Hey guys! So it's been two weeks in Madrid so far, I cannot believe how quickly it's went in, I'm having the most amazing time with the most wonderful people! Just thought I'd share a few little photos with you and let you guys know what I'm getting up to and oh yeh what I'm wearing!!

Also if you's are really interested we are writing a blog together for university purposes - www.adlm-madrid.blogspot.com this has a lot more info than my personal post, about uni and daily up dates of our adventure!!

Here's yet another pic from Kapital last Saturday, I can't stress enough just how amazing it was. Seriously out of this world amazing! I just love how bright my dress looks in this picture!

This cute little selfie is from our trip to Las Rozas (a definte go for all you fashion lovers travelling to Madrid) I purchased a Micheal Kors purse and a cute pair of havainas!

Ignore my pale legs but here's my baby Micheal!! All I need is a bag...to match....is that asking too much?

Little close up of my outfit -

H&M Divided croptop
H&M Trend shorts
H&M Divided sandals
H&M necklace
Vivenne Westwood Bag

...you wouldn't be able to tell that I work in H&M would you?

La Rozas Outlet Village was just beautiful I do strongly recommend it. As well as a great shopping destination it's a beautiful setting with a lovely resteraunt and Starbucks.

Which is where I recieved this...Tania...Tania...Danielle...Tania?? Where the hell did they get that from? Starbucks really need to re think there "names on cups" stragey when a language barrier is involved!

After Las Rozas, we chose a resteraunt serving traditional Spanish tapas and cocktails! As I cannot remember the name I can't recommend it but it was lovely and also Mr Gaypride was on a few streets away so it provided a buzzing atmosphere!

And what's a holiday without a typical smiley cocktail pic!

Outfit -

Stradivarius Skirt
H&M Trend Vest
Mango Bag
Six Sunglasses
Urban Outfitters Sandals

Can't wait to update you more on my amazing time here! Hope you are enjoying my posts, would appreciate some comments and feedback.

Holá

Hey guys, I'm finally able to post whilst I'm in Madrid, sorry for the lack of posting recently. Trying to organise this trip/work to afford it, has been hectic! But I'm here and having an amaaaaazing time!

Here's just a little picture of me heading off to the airport (which was awfully emotional! Like Marley and Me x 100 amounts of tears)

Outfit plan:

H&M Trend skirt
Topshop jeggins
Ed Hardey Scarf
H&M sandals (which are soo comfy btw)
And Zara bag..which I got in the sale for £50, which is huge! And has lots of zips for all the crap I need.

Here's just one of those typical airplane pictures..since Kumba was asleep most of the way to London...I got bored.

Finally after about 7 hours travelling (with thankfully no delays) we got to our apartment!

Our classes usually consist of a lecture I the morning and a trip in the afternoon. We visited Retiro Park, which is apparently double the size of Central Park. It was gorgoues!

Outfit Plan :
H&M basis strapless top
ASOS Daisy Shorts
Primark blue/gold sandals
And Zara bag
H&M sunnies (which I have now bought new ones since I suddenly realised they do not suit my face!!)

Not too bad when your uni is located next to all these beaut shops!! Eeek perfecto fashion ogling!

Also I am really enjoying the Spanish brands here's like Beshka and Stradivarius. Bought a few little things since I am on a fashion course...I'm right...sure?

Shopping Spree :

Zara grey cardigan (it gets cold at night)
Bershka skirt (top right)
Bershka crop white top
Stradivarius white full skirt
Six sun glasses (that suit my face soooo much better)

I'll post again soon!

Lots of love

Summer Outfit Ideas

Hey guys sorry I haven't been on the blogging scene lately, I seem to drop in and out every so often because of work and the like. But I have been itching to write a blog about the pieces I'm going to feature today for a while. They have been on my "Summer Wish List' (mostly screen shots on my iPhone).

Heres a simple but chic way to work bold prints during the summer months whether you are travelling abroad or enjoying the wonderful British summer time!

Firstly, this beaut white crop top by Pull&Bear, a brand I found on ASOS recently.

I really like the structured look to the crop top and the little triangle cut out makes it stand out and gives you the opportunity to show of more of your gorgeous tan!

This absolutely fabulous bold print full of delicious-ness skirt is from H&M, their Trend collection is TO DIE FOR this summer! With so many interestingly unique pieces that you wouldn't really find anywhere else on the high street at such a reasonable price.

There is also a crop top with the same print for all you co-ord crazy folk out there! I just think it is a gorgeous classic style skirt that would flatter most body shapes.

Now for my favourite bit...Accessories!

I do love experimenting with accessories with outfits because I feel thats what totally defines it.

This LuLu Guinness is just FAN-tasitic (you'll get that pun in a sec). I think with the red print skirt it almost gives off a Spanish dancer vibe and when I saw this clutch it was a must have for this particular summer outfit idea.

Ahhh! Don't you just LOOOOVE IT!

Finally a little pair of black strappys from Zara, with such a thin ankle strap it won't cut off your legs and make you look short, it will actually extend your legs as straps almost "wrap around" the foot instead of cutting it off.

These little add ons will just give it that vava vooom you need for maybe a night time affair

MAC Lipstick, I mean I am no make up expert but you really really can't go wrong with Russian Red MAC lipstick!

Pull your hair up in a high messy bun and put on a pair of these honeys!

...

If only eh! A pair of Dior sunglasses!

There will be many more of these blogs to come guys! Since I am preparing to head to Madrid for 3 weeks during summer to study of course outfit choices will be my main priority! So there would be a few little post purchase blogs, and if any of yous have been to Madrid let me know of super fashionable places I can visit!
